What is Teaching Tools?

Teaching Tools is the place to access Ophea’s programs and services. The site includes everything anyone who teaches kids (educators, public health professionals, and recreation & sport leaders) needs to enable children and youth to lead healthy active lives.

Why did we create this website?

Teaching Tools brings you all Ophea programs in one convenient place. No need to remember multiple web addresses anymore, simply save TeachingTools.Ophea.net to your favorites and visit often for access to existing and new Ophea.net tools and resources.

How do I login?

Existing Account with Ophea

If you have an Ophea.net account, select “login” on the top right corner of the webpage and then “Login with Ophea.net Account”. You will be asked to log-in with your personal Ophea.net profile account. Once you have entered your Ophea.net email and password, you will be re-directed to the Teaching Tools site homepage.

New user? Here’s how to create an Ophea.net account:

To create an Ophea.net account, select “login” from the top right corner of the webpage and then select “sign-up”. Complete the required fields to create your personalized account registration. Once complete, you will be re-directed to the Teaching Tools site homepage.

If I create a personal Ophea.net account do I have to pay a fee?

No. Your personal Ophea.net account is free-of-charge. If your school board or organization has purchased access to Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8 or Ophea’s H&PE Secondary Resources, you will continue to have access through your personal Ophea.net account.

How do I access & login to Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8 or Ophea's H&PE Secondary Resources?

To access Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8 or Ophea’s H&PE Secondary Resources you must be from an organization that has purchased access (e.g.: school board).

If you are a member of a school board or organization that has purchased access to this resource and already have an Ophea.net account, just ensure that your profile information is up-to-date! The system will grant you access based on your profile.

To use or create a new Ophea.net account, please see above “How do I login?”

To access Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8, once you are logged in, click on the ‘Lesson Plans’ button on the Teaching Tools homepage and then on the ‘H&PE Elementary Resources’ resource button. From there, choose a grade to find and access all units, lesson plans and support materials.

To access Ophea’s H&PE Secondary Resources, once you are logged in, click on the ‘Supplements’ button on the Teaching Tools homepage and then on the ‘H&PE Secondary Resources’ resource button. From there, choose either the Healthy Living, Movement Competence and Active Living or Implementation Tools navigation link on the homepage and then click on an icon/title of a resource.

How do I know if my organization has a purchased access to the resources?

To find out if your school board or organization has access to Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8 or Ophea’s H&PE Secondary Resources you can connect with your school board H&PE program coordinator or organization Manager/Director.

How does my organization purchase access to Ophea’s H&PE Curriculum Resources: Grades 1-8 or Ophea's H&PE Secondary Resources?

Access is available for purchase by school boards, private schools and other organizations requiring H&PE implementation support. Contact subscribe@ophea.net for purchase information.

How do I find a program? 

You can find a program a few different ways. First try clicking the ‘browse’ button on the top navigation (right corner) and search by topic or grade. Alternatively you can click on the ‘Lesson Plans’, ‘Supplements’ or ‘Activities’ icons on the top navigation or on homepage for a list of programs that fall under this section.
