Assessment of Learning
Students will use self-awareness skills to determine when it’s appropriate to seek further assistance or adult intervention when communicating online.
Students will communicate effectively when dealing with peer pressure and explain how a person’s actions (both positive and negative) can impact others.
Students will examine different point of views presented in the Connect[ED] video and use the decision-making model to analyze the situations and make good decisions. Students will create a media piece (brochure) for their peers, publishing information about netiquette, cyberbullying and online safety.
Assessment for Learning
Throughout the unit, students’ achievement of the identified learning goals will be monitored during the learning using a variety of assessment strategies and tools which are embedded in the lessons.
