Assessment of Learning
Students will demonstrate the ability to apply health knowledge and living skills to make reasoned decisions and take appropriate actions relating to their personal health and well-being. Students will also make connections regarding how their choices and behaviours affect both themselves and others.
In order to consolidate learning, students will respond to case scenarios applying health knowledge and making informed decisions that demonstrate their ability to assess situations for potential danger, and demonstratestrategies for avoiding dangerous situations. Students will then communicate this knowledge in a public service announcement.
Assessment for Learning
Throughout the unit, students’ achievement of the identified Learning Goals will be monitored during the learning using a variety of assessment strategies and tools which are embedded in the lessons.
