    Resource Database

A collection of resources, tools and supports have been compiled to support teachers with lesson planning in a virtual learning environment.

The suggested resources are meant to be used as professional tools. Teachers should refer to their School Board’s policies and procedures.

    Considerations Before Getting Started

    • Prior to any physical activity it is important to address the elements of risk of the activity and safety measures that need to be in place for safe participation. Review the Safety Considerations for important information to understand before getting started.
    • Tasks/activities must be able to be done individually or with family members; suggest activities that can be done with no or limited equipment and can be done in limited spaces.
    • Tasks/activities should be age and stage appropriate; accommodations or modifications should be considered.
    • Focus on physical activity/physical fitness development (20-30 minutes) and healthy living topics that support student well being.
    • Link the learning tasks/activities to the Social Emotional Learning Skills whenever possible.
